History of NETHERWORLD Year 13 2009 – Blood Night and Zombie Rampage – In Blood Night the vampire lord Ghoulich devised a plan to black out the Sun so that vampires and creatures of the NETHERWORLD could ravage the earth without the fear of daylight. In Zombie Rampage, special chemicals developed to help soldiers fight better and to heal wounds get added to a popular energy drink, and when spilled into a local graveyard cause a…you guessed it… zombie rampage!
Goulich the Foul once more heard the whispers from the abyss. They would send Goulich’s Blood Knights; his most powerful undead warriors to collect heads from the 13 clans of earth bound fiends. Once these 13 skulls were assembled, and the words were spoken the world would enter into the Blood Night, a time of chaos when the dead would rise and the Old Ones would walk the earth once more. Then at last mankind would be little more than terrified helpless food.
This cutting edge “extreme” beverage is taking the market by storm! Created by Necrotech Labs, this is the first product in the food industry designed by a pioneering bioweapons defense contractor! Using chemicals developed to make our soldiers fight harder and longer, it’s no wonder ZOMBIE RAMPAGE can help you study for that test or drive 18 hours in a row during spring break!
Although ZOMBIE RAMPAGE is still awaiting FDA approval, we can now offer this tasty and powerful elixir on a limited basis to specialized markets through this excusive offer!

Year 12 2008 – Carnivore and Mangler – Carnivore was a show about werewolves at war with the forces of the NETHERWORLD, the midpoint of a three year arc of famous classic monsters that had begun with Leviathan. Mangler debuted a tale of a methodical serial killer devoid of human emotion and immune to pain. The character of the Mangler became the de facto icon character of the downstairs show for years to come due to his popularity, and returned as a featured player or at least in a cameo role in all most all of the downstairs haunts from that point forward.

For long eons the Werewolves had stood at the top of the earthly food chain. Man thought himself the master, an illusion the wolves allowed. How much easier the slaughter when sheep were unsuspecting? But now powerful NETHERWORLD predators dared to challenge the wolves supremacy! There could be only one top dog, only one master of the world of man. In fire and blood the battle would begin here, the battle to determine the greatest CARNIVORE of all!
For some he is a phantom, a nightmare, a legend, a living death. But to the reporters and policemen who seek him, occasionally finding the discarded remains of his latest subject, he is know simply as the MANGLER. Enter now into his hellish domain in your quest for the truth. Will you find the answers to your questions in his twisted form, or will he find his answers in yours?
Go on, crawl down that sewer pipe…. The truth as always can be found in filth beneath us all…

2007 featured Leviathan and Primal Fear – This year the upstairs Haunt that had previously been separated into two attractions was merged to create a much larger haunt called Leviathan. The theme was based on the Frankenstein legend with the creation of murderous flesh golems and an insidious plan to attack mankind. Primal Fear was a show encompassing as many of the deepest fears and phobias that one could possibly experience in a haunted house. This was one of the first years that NETHERWORLD was featured on the Travel Channel and it certainly wouldn’t be the last!

2006 featured Cursed, Shock O Rama in 3D and Freakpit – The 10 year anniversary of the haunt heralded the return of Maximillian Colber from the depths of the NETHERWORLD telling of the nightmares soon to unfold in the Cursed places of our earth. Lots of classic icon characters were featured in this show, a sort of a greatest hits of the previous decade. Shock-O-Rama in 3D delved into the craziness of pre-comics code “funny books” and Freakpit featured Dr. Bile’s collection of twisted circus performers taking up residence in Mann’s Slaughterhouse. If you look carefully you can still find cans of “Manns Meat” scattered around the haunt! CURSED
There are places in the earth where foul deeds have ripped a gaping maw to the very world of the dead, and unseemly things have escaped from nighted pits. Such places are Cursed; blasted barren landscapes were no sane man should go. Enter now into the deserted Colber Estate, After 60 years, rogue inventor Maxmillian Colber has returned from the void to warn us of the end of the world, but does he seek to help mankind, or make sure that we are all CURSED forever?
SHOCK-O-RAMA
In the 50’s Pre-Code Comics got a little crazy! Gibbering Ghouls, Savage Space Monsters, and Hungry Zombies ripped victims limb from limb in a frenzy of ghastly gore! But the vilest comic of all was Shock-O-Rama, a “funny book” that some said was based on real life occurrences…
FREAKPIT
At first no one cared when new owners purchased the abandoned Slaughterhouse. But when Dr. Bile’s Freak Pit and Museum of Oddities opened for business, it definitely turned a few heads…
